By Scott Rodgers

Are you planning to install a home theater system in your room? Then you don't require a professional for the installation but you can do it yourself and invest your installation budget some where else. You just need to follow some logical steps for installation and do a careful planning for it.

The most important thing to keep in mind while buying a home theater is the room where you will set up your new system. You can assign a full room for it or dedicate a corner in your living room. But take care to allot proper space so that no problem occurs in using it and it makes your room more beautiful.

If you will dedicate a single room then there will not be any problem in keeping speakers and sitting in perfect position. You can also keep everything you want such as projector or screen without giving it out of place looks.

Choose a home theater that suits your home in all respects and add to its beauty. Market is flooded with different kinds of home theater but you need to choose one that matches perfectly with all your requirements.

You need to take a cable for making connections of your home theater. So take a cable of appropriate length (at least 2 meters) by which you can make loose connections. A loose connection helps in increasing the flexibility and you can move the system according to your requirement.

Decide the size of TV or its screen size according to the dimensions of your room. Your room should have sitting arrangement at a particular distance (1.5 to 2.5 times of screen width) from the screen to have best view. Select a strong and durable stand for your home theater system.

A normal set of home theater comes along with a DVD player, digital receiver, manifold speakers with a subwoofer. You need to connect them properly for using.

Check whether enough AC power is coming in the room or not. It is very important to have a dedicated line for proper functioning of your system and making connections easy. No doubt, your system will generate a lot of heat so you should install a whisper fan before starting home theater installation. - 33393
